The National Marine Life Center rehabilitates and releases stranded marine creatures, including dolphins, porpoises, whales, seals and turtles. During the summer, visitors can come learn about the hospital's doings via exhibits of skeletons, photographs and other artifacts, as well as video tapes. The center lies in the downtown area, at a water junction where more sea creatures come ashore alive than anywhere else on the continent.
Visitor Center open late May - early Sep: Mon. - Sat., 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun., 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Free.
